 Originally hailing
from the sunny
shores of south
Florida, Selena has
made Houston her
home since
childhood. While
attending Houston’s
Stratford High
School, she started
to discover her
artistic talents and
creative abilities.
While drawn to the
arts, she graduated
high school and set
out to begin her
studies to become a
veterinarian. Yet,
it only took a
couple of years in
college before
Selena found her
creative side ruling
her world. It was
then that she
applied to The Art
Institute of Houston
and later
successfully
graduated with a
degree in Interior
Design.
After working in
the design and
furniture industry
for many years,
Selena found herself
drawn to a hobby
that would allow her
to make use of her
creative talents.
That hobby was
jewelry making. Some
may find such a
hobby to be tedious
and stressful after
a long work day but,
for Selena, it
actually helped her
relieve her daily
stresses. It didn’t
take long for
friends and family
to pick up on her
hobby and begin
making requests to
purchase her pieces.
She happily obliged.
What was once a
hobby eventually
became her focus and
is now SelenaMade
Designs.
Jewelry designers
come and go but with

because Selena has a
craving for shopping
and a passion for
fashion. She also
likes to travel… and
